ASHFORD COMMUNITY CHURCH
NEWSLETTER: 13th Jan 2019
FROM THE PASTOR’S PEN
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ
HAPPY NEW YEAR – PART 2!
The writer of the Proverbs warns us in chapter 29 and verse 18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish”
Well, we are pleased to say that we HAVE a vision as we go into 2019. And that vision is firmly based on developing ACC as the family of God in this place.
Families may fight and argue but they stick together; they care for each other; they support each other; they love each other. Where a person is in a strong family they feel secure and they are nurtured, and they grow strong.
We are the family of God. We are all different in the way that we look and think and act. But, we are family. And as we go forward this year our vision is to build our “family” through focusing on the 3 W’s of “Welcome, Worship and Word”. We shall see our church family grow as we love each other, as we lift our eyes to God in worship together, and as we learn more about Him.
And then others will look in on what is happening here – and they WILL want to be a part of it. Because they will want to be part of our family. Because God has made mankind to need love and to be part of family.
Today we are going to be looking at how we are going to take those “family responsibilities” VERY seriously. So…grasp the vision and let us go forward together!
God bless Peter
